A so called “Great Leader” Named Alexander [Connell]

Lots think Alexander “the Great” was amazing, a giant among men. But why though? Look at the facts and all I see is arrogance, unnecessary bloodshed and disobedience.  As Peter Green states in his book Alexander of Macedon, Alexander invaded and burned the city of Tyre to the ground then kill 15,000 of their soldiers, crucified 2,000 of men at military age then sell the other 30,000 as slave. Why not let them live as citizen? This still nothing on a chart compiled by various source his total death toll in only FOUR. Four battles is 100,000 for the enemy (including civilians).

Also, what leader is called great when they can’t lead their army? Wait a sec, I think that would be Alexander. Once his army got to India they turned around and went home as showed on a map by various sources. Later he tried to have his soldiers marry Persian women and they said no again. To me this makes up an unstable arrogant leader who take himself out celebrating too much over his self proclaimed “ Great righteous command”. Wait another second, that is exactly what he did.
