Alexander’s Legacy [Katy]

source: www.history.com

According to “Alexander of Macedon” by Peter Green, Alexander the “Great” brutally killed 7,000 innocent lives just for this horrible king to conquer more land! It’s not like he has 20,000 square miles anyway…
I believe Alexander does not deserve the greatness in his name. What did he do to earn this privilege? If pretending to respect people so he would be able to use them for ruling the world. Killing numerous amounts of inculpable people for land, greatness...then Alexander is doing a fabulous job.
“Alexander the Great: man and God.” by: Ian  Worthington. A sailor found and returned alexander’s prized head-piece. As a returned favor...Alexander chops his head off. To this day historians question why he behaved this way. If you are still not convinced he was a bad man, stay tuned for paragraph four.
A map was created by various sources. This map included his empire at height, route of Alexander, battle sites, and the towns he founded…-Now don’t get me wrong! But keep in mind that Alexander did this so he would get more followers for ruling everyone in ancient times… Now where were we? Alexander had in total of four battle sites, eleven towns named ‘Alexandria’, (he was very full of himself) and he traveled 8,400 miles.
If you are completely confused or you don’t agree with my list, here is a list of Alexander’s legacy:
Viewer discretion advised
*chopped a head off (man and god by Ian Worthington)
*killed 7,000 Tyrians (Alexander of Macedon by Peter Green)
*four battle sites (map from various sources)
*abused elephants-boxed them in (Campaigns of Alexander by Lucius Flavius Arrianus
*100,000 civilians were killed in 4 major battle sites (chart compiled from various sources)

To conclude my reasonings on why Alexander was bad… Drum roll please…He achieved all this by the time he was thirty years old, as he died of illness. In my perspective, Alexander will always be a bad guy as long as I’m looking through my eyes.
