Alexander Was Great! [Joshua]

Alexander the Great is perhaps one of the most well known historical figure, but historians and history buffs argue was he really that great? I believe he deserved the title alexander the great. Why? Because he united greece Took down an impenetrable city, was nice to his troops , and he managed to control his empire.

His great conquest started in greece while the greek city states were warring. He united Greece which alone should have made him great because remember the greeks had a bit of a problem with sibling rivalry, he then preserved greek culture for 300 years! His legacy lasted so long that 540 years later a roman emperor had images of him in his clothing. When he took down the impenetrable city of Tyre he spared the people in the church, this shows he respected the gods. He controlled his empire so well 10 years after his death his empire was still standing, I mean 10 years that's pretty impressive for a dead dude. Overall I think that alexander was a good guy because he united greece, took down an impenetrable city, and managed to control his empire
