Alexander: Is he Great or a Devil [Kendra]

If Alexander is so great why do the Hindu Kush natives refer to him as a devil2? Alexander was taught by Aristotle himself. At age 20 Alexander became the king of Macedonia. He was a terrible king. Ok, maybe Alexander accomplished some pretty high goals does that make him great? He was probably thinking I killed over 100,000 people I’m awesome7! NOT! How many people did he kill… 100,0007 why? He accomplished a lot but really. Why kill 100,0007 people you could have just like made them slaves or something, he had a lot of slaves, right? Alexander was greedy! Alexander’s army made him stop after 5000 miles and go home2. All those 5000 miles his soldiers walked and he rode on a horse. All the other horses were being rested for the next battle and the soldiers walked the horses. All along that hike Alexander named 11 cities Alexandria, after himself3.  Did he even deserve to name those all Alexandria, NO3! He fought for 10 straight years.

Alexander used terror to conquer people and lands1. The towns and cities who resisted him would be burned to the ground and the people were sold into slavery1. I mean why should they resist him he only changed all their culture, he even required the Greeks to accept him as the son of Zeus1. No big deal, right?
Alexander turned hi enemy’s animals into an uncontrollable weapon, the elephants trampled many people, too many people4! Why couldn’t he just have killed the one king instead of everyone? In another battle town Alexander ordered everyone who did not seek safety in a temple to be killed. 7,000 Tyrians were left dead on the spot5. Since there were still 30,000 survivors to deal with, he just sold all of them into slavery5. I think he could have used them in his army, I mean they already surrendered to him5. 2000 men that were about old enough to be in the military were crucified, why not just use them right?
Alexander was driving the war boat when his hat blew off, the hat sunk but the royal band landed on a reed. A loyal soldier swam out to retrieve it6. The sailor didn’t want it to get wet, so he wore it on his proud head6. When he got to the boat he handed Alexander the band6. All Alexander did was go, Thank you here’s 10,000 dollars now let me decapitate you and I get my money back, thank you6. Why Alexander the (not so) great, why?
All of Alexander me were practically dying with thirst, in the middle of the desert6. Alexander’s men found a small trickle of water and poured it into a helmet and gave it to Alexander6. Alexander Dumped the water into the ground in full view of every one of his soldiers6.
Alexander was not so great.
