Alexander the Fake [Lauren]

Blood, death, and slaughtering!!! “Cut his head off!” Is that what you would call great? Well, Alexander was a great maniac, but that isn’t the great we all think of nowadays.

Alexander set off on a journey. He wanted to do all the things his dad didn’t have a chance to. He conquered Greece, Persia, and some of India. All of this, just because he wanted power. He wanted an empire, because he wanted to rule the world

They found a limited amount of water nearby. His men put the water into a helmet and gave it to Alexander. Alexander’s response, was dumping it onto the ground. The water was worth a drink for every man in the army.1

A strong gust of wind blew away Alexander’s Macedonian hat. The hat fell into the water, but the band blew away onto a piece of reed. A soldier swam and retrieved the band for Alexander. He didn’t want to get it wet, so he wore it on his head, and swam back to shore. He gave it to Alexander, and Alexander cut off the soldier head, because only royalty (him) could wear it.2

Those passages from the Mini- Q3 are examples of why Alexander was not great.

Sure, Alexander did some great things too, but mostly he was a self- focused, greedy, rude, and ruthless person.

**ALERT** **ALERT**
This might be too gruesome up ahead…

While killing 100,000 innocent people, burning down thousands of houses, and killing a king, he might be the greatest ruthless maniac ever.

“7,000 Tyrants died, the number would have been higher had it not been for the men of Sidon….. The remaining survivors, some 30,000 in number, he sold into slavery.” 4

The only reason Alexander stopped his conquest of the Ancient world, is because he was too scared.

Alexander the Great was a scaredy-cat.

All because he was scared of elephants.

Good job being a ruthless maniac, Alexander!!
