Alexander the Amazing [Patrick]

If you are one of those people who thinks that Alexander the Great wasn’t great, then you are right.  He wasn’t great, he was amazing!  Oh, and if you don’t think he is either then you are just plain crazy.  If you doubt Alexander the Great’s prodigiousness, I will try  to convince you otherwise.
Alexander’s Empire’s boundaries were mainly bodies of water. These protected his empire quite effectively because opposing armies could not move large amounts of troops at one time.  Overall this was a very good idea on his part.  Furthermore, the fresh water was good was for a nice refreshing drink from a non-stagnant river and was also good for farming.
Speaking of refreshing drinks of water, you should know that when Alexander’s army was going through a blazing hot desert, Alexander didn’t hoard what was left of their water;  he suffered under the same conditions as his army.  This shows that Alexander was not only clever but also a kind ruler.
Alex’s empire was 2 million square miles when he died. That was by far the largest empire in the known world.
As you can see from the facts above, Alexander was not just great -- he was amazing!
